Next, drag your transition clip to the timeline and drop it just after the video segment you inserted previously.

Transitions are usually short segments tying two video clips together so you will need to shorten the length of the clip you just inserted. Click and drag the end of the clip towards the left of the timeline to make it shorter. In this example we shortened the Pastel kaleida clip from 10 seconds down to about one second.

Click and drag the next clip onto the timeline and place it after the clip you are using for the transition.
